KAP Survey Consultancy

Established in UK in 1984, Islamic Relief is an international NGO seeking to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities in relief and development activities. 

We aim to help the needy regardless of race, religion and gender.

IRK is seeking services of a qualified and experienced consultant to carry out Knowledge, Attitude and Practices (KAP) Survey Wajir (North and West) and Mandera (North and Etas) with the aim of assessing the current knowledge, practices and barriers to optimal MIYCN, sanitation and hygiene.

The specific objectives of the consultancy are;

i) To determine existing knowledge on MIYCN, sanitation and hygiene among the target population

ii) To identify primary and secondary barriers to adequate MIYCN, sanitation and hygiene practices.

iii) To determine the effectiveness, relevance and appropriateness of the current MIYCN strategy.

iv) To determine community awareness/knowledge on other HINI services

Qualifications and Experience of the consultant;
  • Degree in Nutrition/ Public Health/ Epidemiology or other relevant technical areas. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Provide details of the last three similar contracts/assignments carried out 
  • The Consultant’s clear understanding of Social economic characteristics of North Eastern is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
