Key Duties
The job holder’s key responsibilities will be:
Management of software projects using AGILE/Scrum methodologies including:
- Understanding client needs and client liaison
- Software application specification and design
- Coaching and supervision of junior developers
- Work planning and ensuring deadlines are met
- Scrum Master or Project Manager for projects
Software quality assurance and documentation:
- Ensuring code conforms with Kimetrica standards
- Supervising source control and versioning
- Supervise testing and de-bugging and engage directly in testing
- Technical documentation
Application development:
- Research into appropriate tools, methods and libraries
- Development of reports
- Database design and planning
- Development of stored procedures
- Development of high end applications, modules and functions
- Review of code
Qualifications and Experience
Required
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least three years of experience with development of online applications
- High capacity for rapid learning
- Ability to write meaningful code in at least one common programming language
- Knowledge of object oriented programming
- Strong knowledge of database design
- Project management skills including line management and supervision
- Good English language verbal and written communications
Desirable
- Experience in a asp.net environment, C# and Javascript
- HTML5, jquery and/or android experience
- Knowledge of PostGRES/PostSQl
- Experience with mathematical and statistical functions
- Work experience with the AGILE/Scrum and Prince II methodologies

- Two month probation period with conversion to long‐term contract conditional on performance and project funding
