Deputy Chief Halls Officer

Grade XII

Reports to: Registrar (Administration)


Qualifications, skills and experience

    •    Masters degree in Institutional Management or its equivalent.
    •    Computer literacy
    •    Demonstrate competence, ability in work performance and results.
    •    Have a wide experience in the field of Institutional Management.
Job Summary
    •    Management of all students’ accommodation facilities.
    •    Co-ordinate allocation of rooms.
    •    Ensure that halls are well maintained
    •    Address student disciplinary matters in halls of residence.
    •    Prepare and co-ordinate periodic reports on student accommodation.
    •    Implementation of students’ rules and regulations pertaining to residence within the University premises.
    •    Formulate and implement of departmental strategic plan.
    •    Formulate, plan and control of the departmental budget.
    •    Draft policies on room rentals.
    •    Advise University Management on emerging issues on students’ accommodation.
    •    Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Salary Scale:
    •    Basic Salary Scale of Ksh 72,559 x 2,363 p.a -86,734 x 2,944 p.a – 95,566 p.m.
    •    Attractive house and other allowance will be paid.
