Credit Controller


Position: Credit Controller
Location: Nairobi

Our client, a successful supplier of office furniture and equipment and rated among the 100 most successful SMEs in Kenya is looking for a Credit Controller.

The ideal candidate should have wide knowledge in Credit Management and experience in debt collection preferably having dealt with government institutions or parastatals


Key Responsibilities
Collecting all outstanding payments
Allocating payments in accordance with customer remittances
Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
Liaising with the sales and accounts receivable teams
Ensuring that debtor  and cash targets are met
Preparing daily and monthly reports and account reconciliations
Investigating and resolving queries relating to nonpayment of invoices
Ensuring V.A.T returns, N.S.S.F, N.H.I.F and P.A.Y.E are filed before due date
Verifying and reconciling petty cash claims to ensure correct usage, accountability and accurate reimbursements

Qualification and Experience
CPA holders
Minimum of  2 years working experience in debt collection preferably in government institutions or parastatals
Knowledge in Credit Management
Working experience in accounting packages such as Sage, Pastel, SAP, Tally and QuickBooks
Independent and self motivated individuals
Proven leadership skills
Customer Service and Salesmanship skills
