Profile Introduction: Our client involved in manufacturing electrical cables, transformers and switchgear with  8 manufacturing facilities seeks to recruit a Commercial Head for their Nairobi Office.

The overall purpose of the role is to: The Commercial Head will be responsible for sales and marketing, with a view to improving Market penetration in existing and new regions

Minimum Requirements
  • University Graduate with strong first degree
  • Master in Business Administration is an added advantage
  • Ten years relevant working experience in sales & marketing management three of which should be at senior level preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience or qualification in electrical engineering an added advantage.
  • Strong General Management experience, preferably with a Multinational Organisation working across numerous countries 
  • Good marketing, selling and public relations skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with standard office applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the electrical and/or manufacturing industry   
Job Specification
  • Formulate and implement sales, PR and marketing plans and strategies to develop Market share, 
  • Build a robust customer care management program,
  • Steer market research and intelligence, and conceptualize new products,
  • Develop the export market with particular focus in COMESA and SADC markets, 
  • Develop Agency Agreements with Global suppliers, supply chain division to meet market demand,
  • Prepare sales budgets, recommend commission structures and set overall revenue and cost KPIs,
  • Organisation and assess performance of staff to ensure that targets are achieved and budgets strictly adhered to,
  • Drive recruiting of high caliber of sales and marketing staff and ensure consequence management.
