Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security. 

We work with civil society, government and international organisations to encourage and support effective policies and practices through advocacy, research and policy development, and through supporting the actions of others. 


Saferworld wishes to recruit the following positions for its Kenya Programme.

Project Officer, Governance and Peacebuilding

Ref KPOG

The post-holder will support the implementation of governance and peace building activities within the Kenya Programme and will be expected to undertake consistent follow up with key partners ensuring timely reporting on project implementation by partners.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate substantial experience with governance and peace building projects.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

Ref KMEO

The post-holder will promote a participatory approach to M&E, which empowers our partners and beneficiaries and ensures our work is grounded in local context and priorities. 

At least 3 years of experience in the design/ development of MEL methods and approaches within the INGO/NGO or similar sectors will be required.

Project Officer, Arms Control and Policing

Ref KPOA

The post-holder will support the implementation of activities on arms control and policing within the Kenya Programme. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate substantial experience in arms control, community policing, and police reform processes in Kenya.

Successful candidates for the above positions must be fluent in Kiswahili and English with good communication skills.
