Our client an aviation company dealing with passenger and cargo flights is seeking to recruit for the position of a Quality Assurance Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
- Guides and coordinates the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Develop and implement quality control programmes and procedures on all airside activities at the branches.
- Develop and implement programmes and procedures for the safety of operations within the airside
- Develop and co-ordinate annual quality assurance audits plan for internal and external audits.
- Follows up implementation of ICAO and other internationally accepted standards on airport service, facilities and safety.
- Monitor training schedules and programs in consultation with trainers to ensure training needs are met
- Ensure continual improvement and maintenance of the quality assurance certification.
- Liaise with all branches to ensure appropriate safety campaigns and information is carried out through safety bulletins, seminars and meetings.
- Review and evaluate safety measures and controls in place from time to time and advice on remedial action.
- Ensure the development, review and maintenance of safety manuals, plans and procedures to ensure consistency with current procedures and practices.
- Maintain an accurate database of incident and accident occurrence at head office and branches.
- Carry out inspection of branches for certification and maintenance of set standards.
- Implements action plans on ICAO, ISAGO and airline audit reports and implementation.
- Facilitate participation in quality awards locally, regionally and internationally.
- Prepare and monitor the budget to ensure adequate funds available to carry out quality assurance programs.
Qualifications
- University Degree in business studies, science degree, systems analysis or HND
- Diploma in Aircraft and Passenger Handling, Airport Operations
- IATA, ISAGO and ICAO quality assurance Certified
- MS Suite competent
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Operations ( Ramp, aircraft services, passenger services, Airport Safety Management, quality assurance, audit, technical services)
Other competences
- Experience in quality assurance in a busy manufacturing or industrial set up
- Knowledge in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Safety Management Systems or equivalent
- Demonstrated hands on experience developing and implementing quality assurance programs
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Operations ( Ramp, aircraft services, passenger services, Airport Safety Management, quality assurance, audit, technical services)
