Reporting to the Chief Officer, Public Service, the holder of this position will be responsible for:-
  • Formulation, interpretation and application of human resource policy, procedures, rules and regulations
  • Personnel emolument ,estimates and expenditure control
  • Administration of pension schemes , gratitude’s, scheme of service and approval of leave
  • Staff performance management and career development
  • Managing staff insurance, salary advances and salary ¡n advance.
  • Providing guidance in matters related to appointments and placement, promotions and confirmation of staff.
  • Budget and Expenditure control for the human Resource Department
  • Implementation of Advisory committee ,selection as regards appointments, promotion, discipline
  • Management of Staff in Human Resource Department
  • Provision of office services
Requirement for Appointment
  • A degree in Human Management Resource Management or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience 5 of which must be in senior level management in public or private sector
  • Post graduate qualification in Human Resource Management
  • Be a member of the institute of Human Resource Management
  • Proficiency in HR IT Systems
  • Demonstrated High degree of professional competence, administrative capabilities and initiative in the general organization and management of Human resources
  • Thorough understanding of Human Resources Management policies , regulations and employee relations, understanding labour laws and other statues that impact on human resource.
  • Good administration, organization and analytical skills
  • Impersonal and human resource management skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, motivate and lead others
  • A master’s degree will be an added advantage
Remuneration
  • Basic salary: Kshs.109, 089 — 144,928pm
  • House allowance Kshs.40, 000p.m
  • Other allowance: 1 6,000pm

  • The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • The Ethics and Anti —Corruption Commission (EACC)
  • A recognized Credit Reference Bureau
  • A current membership Certificate of confirmation from the relevant professional body.
Copies of these certificates must be attached to the applications.
