General Sales Manager; Auto- Mobile

Industry: Transport and Distribution

Location: Nairobi

Salary: Open & Negotiable

Our client one of East Africa's leading players in the Transport sector, handling sales of commercial trucks, trailers manufacture and motor vehicle spares. 

They are seeking to fill a general sales manager.



Duties & Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the operations of all key departments; Administration, Sales, Parts & Service
  • Lead the sales team by personally demonstrating and encouraging the skills associated with manufacturing customer service & branding
  • Monitor individual and team performance against agreed targets
  • Working with the Market area General Manager to review progress & develop action plans
  • Ensure vehicle financing is effectively managed and procedures followed
  • Manage and motivate the sales team to ensure key sales activities are delivered as per the plan
  • Continuously review and improve existing sales processes so as to deliver increased levels of customer satisfaction
  • Manage and develop own direct sales team through; recruiting, coaching, developing & appraising their performance
  • Support the area General Manager to develop marketing & PR strategies and is involved to shape and materialize the strategies e.g promotions
  • Resolving administration problems by coordinating report writing, analyzing data
  • Maintain work flow by studying methods, implementing costs reduction, and developing
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Professional qualifications are preferred
  • At least four (4) years experience in the motor vehicle industry, two (2) in management
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent management & communication skills
  • Can work under pressure
  • Excellent levels of customer service
