Job Title: Pharmacist
Department: QA and Regulatory
Work Location: Kenya
Purpose of the Job:
• Ensuring compliance to divisional, client quality and budgetary requirements and any relevant in country regulations.
• Implement and maintain QMS in accordance with ISO requirements as applicable.
• Manage, maintain, improve and upkeep the company’s ISO Quality Management System in order to meet and client compliance and to ensure continued ISO certification is achieved and maintained.
• Manage a program of continual improvement of the established Quality Management System.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Implement, manage and control the Quality management System
• Manage and maintain the change control system
• Manage process flows by identifying, initiating and implementing new process flows
• Manage the validation process to ensure compliance of equipment, product and consistency of data collection and forecasting.
• Manage the Non Conformance System by ensuring Non Conformances are initiated, reviewed and evaluated.
• Ensure the corrective action /preventive actions are implemented and effective.
• Determine training needs for the company to ensure continuous quality improvement (ISO).
• Provide training support in Quality assurance capacity in country with teams
• Perform Self inspections/ audits in country with teams
• Perform Self inspections/ audits in country with teams.
• Manage the QMS documentation system
Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Experienced pharmacists
• Candidate MUST have QMS experience, ISO certification experience is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years experience within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
• Preferably a Registered Auditor (Quality Management Systems)
• Logistics supply chain background preferred
• Sound Management Skills
• Validation Protocols skills
• Planning, organization skills
• Analytical skills , attention to detail
• Good reading and writing/ reporting skills
• Ability to interact at a high level with clients
• Travel within the sub region will be required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Computer literate
